Hello,my name is Shawn Schmidt,

and I am a designer, illustrator, and photographer living in Vancouver, Washington. As a lifelong creative, I strive to remain a student of craft and skill. I am versed in many of the latest digital tools, but I often begin with a pen and paper.

It is my aim in order to grow as a creative and as a human being, to be a continuous learner of art, craft, and design. I aim to maximize my usefulness in helping others realize their creative communication goals and needs. As such, I strive to approach every situation with an open mind, compassion, kindness, and a willingness to learn and to understand.

My hobbies and inspirations include outdoors, hiking, and people-watching. I love playing the guitar and studying music theory for composition and sound recording. I love animals of all types, and I find my greatest fulfillment in being of service to others. I have been a member of AIGA since 2015.
